Dana Gutierrez, of counsel at Calvo Fisher & Jacob, has been appointed by Governor Lourdes A. Leon Guerrero to the board of the Guam Solid Waste Authority. Dana is the former Director of Policy, Planning and Community Relations at the Judiciary of Guam, and previously served as legal counsel and executive assistant to the President of the University of Guam.
At CFJ, Dana practices primarily in the areas of labor and employment law, business planning, corporate governance and regulatory compliance. Her practice includes counseling and defending employers in all aspects of employment law, including wrongful discharge, discrimination and harassment claims; labor and employment law compliance; wage and hour; personnel management and training; and safety and health.
Dana is also an active participant in the legal and human resources communities on Guam where she serves on a number of boards and committees. She is the current President-Elect, Board of Directors, Society for Human Resource Management Guam Chapter; Member, Subcommittee on Attorney Discipline, Supreme Court of Guam; and Member, Law Week Committee, Guam Bar Association.
