The Supreme Court of Guam ruled on December 30, 2011 that Younex International's zone variance approval for an $140 million condominium project on Guam was wrongly nullified. Attorneys from Calvo Fisher & Jacob briefed and argued this closely-watched case on behalf of Younex in the Supreme Court.
According to a story in the Pacific Daily News, "The Supreme Court yesterday stated that the trial court had erroneously interpreted the zoning law because the notice requirements for a conditional-use application didn't apply to Younex's application for a zone variance . . . The project will have two 15-story towers, standing 187 feet tall, and two 18-story towers, standing 217 feet tall. It will have 260 condominium units and 20 villas."
